Qualcomm has now officially introduced the Snapdragon X60. This is a third-generation 5G modem that would work particularly well with an iPhone. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualcomm has introduced the new Snapdragon X60 in a press release. The new third-generation 5G modem is expected to be included in the first 5G smartphones as early as early 2021. This is stated in the official press release<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The X60 modem is based on a 5nm manufacturing process and offers significantly better energy efficiency in a smaller overall area than its predecessor (7nm manufacturing process). If the new 5G modem is found in the iPhone 2021 series, this would lead to a longer battery life. In addition, the use of the new Snapdragon X60 would create more space inside the device. Apple could use this for additional components or a larger battery. According to Qualcomm, smartphones that use the X60 will be able to use both the mmWave and sub-6GHz bands simultaneously.
