In a new report that essentially deals with the coronavirus, the topic of AirPods was also touched upon. According to the report, Apple is allegedly working on a "Lite" version of the AirPods Pro.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The well-known DigiTimes has published a new report about Apple in relation to the coronavirus. The platform claims to have learned about the so-called \u201cAirPods Pro Lite\u201d. The report<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple is considering shifting more assembly orders for its new models due to launch in the first half of 2020 to factories in Taiwan, mainly to diversify production risks related to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, industry sources said.<\/p>

Apple, which has partnerships with supply chains in both Taiwan and China, may task its Taiwanese partners with producing the new generation of iPad, Apple Watch, AirPod Pro Lite and iMac devices scheduled to be launched at a later date, as the epidemic has increased the risk of raw material supply shortages and delivery disruptions due to the uncertain resumption of normal operations at component suppliers and assembly plants in China, the sources said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

DigiTimes did not reveal which features these so-called "AirPods Pro Lite" will include. The platform is currently the only one to make this statement. The addition of "Lite" is also confusing. Accordingly, no update is expected in this area in the near future. The situation would be different with the AirPods 3. Apple could actually provide an update here, as some analysts believe.
