Instagram has started rolling out a new feature via a server update that shows which accounts users interact with the most.
Facebook subsidiary Instagram is currently carrying out a server-side update to introduce a new function. The feature acts like a filter and lists the accounts that are displayed most frequently in the news feed. At the same time, the friends with whom the user interacts the least are displayed. Instagram explains this on Twitter:
Want to see which Instagram accounts appear most often in your feed and who you interact with the least? Now you can! Just tap "Following" and manage your list from there.
category with two sections
The new category has been divided into two sections: “Least Interactions” and “Most Viewed in Feed”. They can be accessed under Profile via “Subscribed”. In the “Least Interactions” section it says:
Go through the accounts you have interacted with the least in the last 90 days (e.g. liked posts, reacted to stories).
In the “Most Viewed in Feed” list, Instagram explains:
Go through the accounts with the most posts in your feed in the last 90 days.
Whether the feature is actually useful is something everyone has to decide for themselves. Some might use it as a basis for a spring cleaning of their own subscription list or just take a look out of curiosity. Since the feature is currently being rolled out, it might not be available to everyone yet. However, it should be available to every user by the end of next week. Are you active on Instagram? Us too – this way please, thanks for subscribing. (Photo by deagreez / Bigstockphoto)
